AURA Team
AURA uses two primary typefaces in deliberate tension. Cormorant Garamond for display — expressive, editorial, warm. DM Sans for UI and body — precise, clinical, neutral. The contrast between them is the engine of AURA's premium feel. A third face, JetBrains Mono, handles code.
Display headings — Cormorant Garamond
H1 is 76px, 120 line height, Light weight, #F5F0E8. H2 is 52px, 120 line height, Regular weight, #F5F0E8. H3 is 40px, 120 line height, Regular weight, #F5F0E8. H1 must always be Light — never Regular or Medium. Bold serifs feel editorial-magazine, not infrastructure-platform. The Light weight is doing the work.
UI headings — DM Sans
H4 is 32px, 120 line height, Medium, #F5F0E8. H5 is 28px, 140 line height, Medium, #F5F0E8. H6 is 20px, 140 line height, SemiBold, #F5F0E8.
Body text — DM Sans
Body XL is 20px Regular #C4B8A4. Body runs at 18px, 16px, and 14px — all Regular, all #C4B8A4. Body XS is 13px Regular #8A7B6A. All body text uses 150% line height for comfortable reading density.
Special styles
Eyebrow Large is 15px DM Sans Medium, #8A7B6A, ALL CAPS, 0.12em letter spacing. Eyebrow Small is 12px DM Sans Medium, #8A7B6A, ALL CAPS, 0.15em letter spacing. Testimonials are 64px Cormorant Garamond Light Italic, #F5F0E8. Mono uses JetBrains Mono Regular — #C4B8A4 for base text, #C9A96E for syntax highlights.
The eyebrow rule
Eyebrows must always be ALL CAPS with wide letter spacing. This single detail is responsible for approximately 40% of the premium feel in AURA. Never use sentence case for eyebrow labels. Never reduce the letter spacing. The combination of all caps, wide tracking, muted color, and small size is what makes it work — change one variable and the effect collapses.
