Adding & Editing CMS Items

How to add new items and edit existing ones across AURA's Blog, Careers, and Docs collections.

How to add new items and edit existing ones across AURA's Blog, Careers, and Docs collections.

AURA Team

All CMS content in AURA is managed through Framer's CMS panel. The process is the same across all three collections — learn it once, apply it everywhere.

Opening the CMS panel

Click the CMS button in the top toolbar of the Framer editor. The left column lists all collections. Click a collection name to see its items in the center column. Click any item to open its fields on the right.

Adding a new item

Click New Item at the top of the item list. A blank item form opens. Fill in all fields — Title, Slug, Category, and so on. The slug auto-generates from the Title field but can be manually edited. Use lowercase with hyphens only. Spaces and special characters in slugs will cause URL errors.

Editing rich text content

Click into any rich text field (Body, Content, Description). A formatting toolbar appears. Use it to add H2 and H3 subheadings, bold key terms, add hyperlinks, and create ordered or unordered lists. Structure long articles with subheadings — both for readability and for SEO. Paste plain text freely — Framer strips external formatting on paste and applies the field's own styling.

Reordering items

Drag items in the list to reorder them. This order becomes the default display order on index pages unless a sort filter is applied in the CMS List component on the canvas.

Hiding items without deleting

To hide an item without deleting it, add a Toggle field called Published to the collection. Set Published to false for any item you want to hide. On the canvas, filter the CMS List component by Published equals true. This is the recommended approach for draft content and seasonal listings.

Deleting items

Click the three-dot menu on any item and select Delete. Deletion is permanent — there is no trash or undo. The item's URL returns a 404 immediately after your next publish. Remove any internal links pointing to that item before deleting.
